December turned out to be a very busy month and I was surprised when I weighed myself on the morning of December 27th and realized that I hadn't noticed that I had lost two kilos of weight. Although I noticed that my muscles look more shredded, I did not pay much attention to this.
Due to the fact that I lost some body weight, I decided that I could slightly increase the calorie content of my meals.
So here is another example of my healthy Ukrainian dinner.
The meal consists of:
- Apples - 3, about 120 calories,
- Potatoes - about 600 calories, stewed potato in chicken broth which contains some fat.
- Canned vegetables - it's called "lecho", bell peppers in tomato sauce. I don't count their calories because it's too little.
- Oatmeal - 200 grams, cooked in water with salt and sprinkled with a teaspoon of ground flax seeds after cooking. It's about 600 calories,
- Pumpkin - 750 grams, simply stewed one whole pumpkin cut into chunks with very little sugar (1 scoop per huge pot). It's about 200 calories.
Total about 1520 calories.
I ate apples first, then potatoes and canned vegetables, then oatmeal with pumpkin.
As you can see, I didn't have any meat for this dinner because I didn't feel like I wanted to. And the potato was stewed in chicken broth so it was enough for me.
This diet allows me to eat a lot, not to feel hungry or think about food constantly, and keep my body weight relatively stable, about 80 kg.
I eat only twice a day - lunch and dinner.
All food is home grown except oatmeal.
